2022 Mitsubishi Outlander

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has five trim levels for you to choose from: the 2.5 ES, 2.5 SE, SE Tech, 2.5 SEL, or SEL Touring. The Outlander features new full LED headlamps that swoop back from the front fascia to create a unique appearance. Wheel options range from 18 to 20 inches. Choose the SE for several exterior upgrades, including a hands-free liftgate for smoother loading of your cargo area, automatic windshield wipers, silver accents, and heated side mirrors. The SEL's side mirrors have a power-folding feature. The SEL also lets you secure gear to your SUV's roof rails.

Each 2022 Outlander is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. This engine is connected to a continuously variable automatic transmission. The new Outlander gets up to 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The Outlander features a new chassis that improves its stability and stance. Select a model with the Super All Wheel Control technology to get improved traction when you need it. This upgraded drivetrain gives you up to six drive modes to personalize your driving experience. The improved electric power steering and new suspension system add to the Outlander's already impressive driving style.

The Outlander offers seating for seven passengers in three rows. For a truly comfortable cockpit experience, choose a model equipped with the eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory settings to find your ideal space with the push of a button. You'll find leatherette-appointed upholstery at the SE level and upgraded leather in the SEL. The SEL also adds a tri-zone climate control to replace the standard dual-zone version. Heated front seats show up at the SE level and heated second-row seats are standard for the SEL. Right from the start, the Outlander gives you an 8-inch touch screen that can integrate your smartphone with your Mitsubishi. The SE switches this out with a 9-inch version and adds USB ports for the rear row, a built-in navigation system, and a wireless phone charging pad.

All of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander's trim levels feature some of the latest and greatest safety technologies. Each model is equipped with an active blind spot assist system that helps you detect other vehicles in adjacent lanes. The standard rear automatic emergency braking system stops your SUV before you hit an obstacle behind you. The forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection system works similarly, focusing on potential danger ahead. Other safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system, rearview camera, and trailer stability assist system. The Outlander is outfitted with 11 air bags if a collision proves to be unavoidable.
