The Rath Automotive story dates back over 40 years to Putnam Lincoln Mercury of Fort Smith, AR. As one of the region’s top Lincoln/Mercury dealers, Putnam won multiple President’s Awards for sales and customer service. Larry Rath, the General Manager and later the dealer principle of Putnam, led the dealership to great success in the River Valley, with expansion in both Lincoln/Mercury and Toyota franchises in Memphis, TN, and Altus, OK.

 

In 2011, Larry founded Rath Auto Resources as an independent pre-owned dealer in Fort Smith. Years of experience and success in the automotive industry inspired a new model for non-franchise car sales: one focusing not only on sales, but also high-level service.

 

Less than three years after expanding to the Northwest Arkansas market in Springdale, Rath Automotive is proud to bring Mitsubishi back to Northwest Arkansas as the first authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer to operate in Arkansas in years. Along with the exciting lineup of cars and CUVs, Rath Mitsubishi offers the same world-class service our customers have come to expect in our Meineke Car Care Centers, expanding that effort to Certified Mitsubishi service and parts!

Rath’s onsite Meineke Car Care Centers are one of the keys to our continued growth and successful customer service. The Meineke Car Care Centers of Fort Smith and Springdale, AR, are nationally recognized shops, consistently ranking in the top few Meineke franchise shops in the U.S. and Canada. 

 

Our Meineke shops also serve as the reconditioning hubs for all of Rath’s pre-owned inventory. The “Rath Road Ready” reconditioning process ensures that the vehicles on both lots are of the highest quality, and it allows us to offer customers nationally-backed Vehicle Service Contracts to protect their investment!
