2026 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in Fort Smith, AR
The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport brings compact dimensions and standard All-Wheel Control to Rath Mitsubishi in Springdale. At 171.9 inches long, it remains easy to place in tighter surroundings while offering seating for 5, 8.5 inches of ground clearance, and up to 49.5 cu. ft. of cargo capacity. A choice of 2 naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engines and 7 distinct trims gives Northwest Arkansas drivers several ways to configure this compact SUV.
Trim Levels
S starts the range with standard All-Wheel Control and an 8-inch display featuring Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. ES builds upon the entry specification while retaining the 2.0L engine and standard all-wheel-drive layout. LE adds comfort and appearance upgrades, while SE makes a more substantial step inside with leatherette and sueded microfiber seating surfaces and heated front seats. It also expands driver assistance with Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. RALLIART uses LE as its foundation but takes a more expressive visual direction. Unique front and rear bumper treatments are joined by mud flaps, rocker-panel graphics, a black roof spoiler, red interior stitching, and a dedicated RALLIART start button. Trail Edition turns toward an adventure-oriented presentation, complementing the Outlander Sport’s standard all-wheel-drive hardware and elevated ground clearance. SEL sits at the top of the lineup and is the only trim powered by the larger 2.4L engine. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat give it the most premium cabin treatment in the range.
Powertrain
S, ES, LE, SE, RALLIART, and Trail Edition models use a naturally aspirated 2.0L 4-cylinder producing 148 hp and 145 lbs. ft. of torque. SEL receives a 2.4L 4-cylinder with 168 hp and 167 lbs. ft. of torque. Both engines are paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission, and All-Wheel Control is standard across the entire 2026 lineup.
Performance
Standard All-Wheel Control gives every Outlander Sport additional traction as road conditions change, while 8.5 inches of ground clearance provides added room beneath the vehicle on rougher surfaces. Four-wheel independent suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars supports predictable handling. The 2.0L models return an estimated 23 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined. The 2.4L SEL is rated at 23 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.
Interior
The Outlander Sport seats 5 within 119.2 cu. ft. of total interior volume. Front legroom measures 41.6 inches, with 36.3 inches provided in the second row. Cargo capacity is 21.7 cu. ft. with the rear seats upright and expands to 49.5 cu. ft. when additional seating space is folded. Upper trims introduce heated front seats and upgraded upholstery, culminating in SEL’s leather seating and power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Technology
An 8-inch display provides the central interface for connected features, including Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Higher trims add further convenience and cabin equipment while retaining the Outlander Sport’s straightforward control arrangement.
Safety Features
Available driver-assistance technology includes Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic High Beam. Higher trims expand awareness with Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, providing additional assistance during lane changes and while reversing in busy Springdale parking areas.
