Outlander ES vs Chevrolet Equinox LS in Springdale, AR
Why choose the Mitsubishi Outlander ES?
Are you looking for a crossover to move around for work or play? Mitsubishi and Chevrolet have some trusted choices in the Outlander and Equinox models respectively. Let's help you decide which one is just right for your needs.
Build and Design
The Equinox LS is the second of six trims in the Equinox lineup. It has 17-inch aluminum wheels, body-color door handles, and solar absorbing glass. The Outlander ES is the base trim of the Outlander model. It's not as wide as the Chevrolet, so it fits more easily into parking spots. It features 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, silver front and rear bumper accents, chrome grille accents, and rear privacy glass.
Power and Performance
The 2020 Equinox LS AWD has a standard 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission to produce 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The Mitsubishi Outlander ES comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder standard engine paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission for 166 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. However, both engines have a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. The Mitsubishi adds a trailering package with a tow hitch and tow wire harness.
Comfort and Safety
While the Equinox can seat up to five, the Outlander can seat up to seven. The Outlander ES comes with four-way adjustable heated front seats in cloth upholstery. You can stay entertained with a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system and HD radio. Air bags are widely available; so are standard safety features like LATCH safety system and child locks. For more comfort in a sleeker ride, the 2020 Mitsubishi ES 2.4 AWC is the right choice of CUV for you.
