Dodge Challenger SRT8

The Dodge lineup is the stuff of legends. From the muscly Challenger to the go-anywhere Durango, this fleet of cars supplies performance, features, and other amenities by the boatload. If you’re on a budget and have your eye on one of these vehicles, don’t fret. Used Dodge models are great investments. Lightly driven and strong resale value highlight just a few of the reasons you’ll want to get your hands on one of these used Dodge cars or SUVs.

1. Dodge Challenger

Modeled after the golden age of Detroit muscle cars, the modern-day Dodge Challenger is a downright beast. This two-door coupe has all the exterior styling cues that make it a true sports car. Beneath the hood, you’ll find either a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 or the thunderous 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. The 3.6-liter option dishes out 305 horsepower. However, its most surprising asset is the 30 mpg on the highway that accompanies it. If you want even more power, the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 goes above and beyond your expectations with 375 horsepower and a zero-to-60 clip that flirts with the 5.5-second mark.

Inside, the Challenger is surprisingly roomy, providing seating for five, with more headroom, legroom, and hip room than you’ll find in most two-door vehicles. A color touch screen display allows you to navigate the Uconnect infotainment system, while the sports bucket seats cradle you as you round every corner.

2. Dodge Journey

The day of the third-row crossover is here. Nearly every automaker has created an all-new model or a revamped version of a previous model to add in coveted passenger space. Unfortunately, this feature typically comes with a heavy premium.

The Dodge Journey is perhaps the lone third-row crossover that gives you seating for seven and over 60 cubic feet of cargo space, without breaking the bank. In addition to its healthy interior proportions, the Journey also boasts either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 173 horsepower or a brawny 3.6-liter V-6 that touts an impressive 283 horsepower. Top it off with the Uconnect infotainment system, and the Dodge Journey just might be the most affordable and versatile crossover in the industry.

3. Dodge Durango

With rugged styling and a powerful engine to boot, the Dodge Durango is the SUV segment’s bad boy. Designed for fun and excitement, the Durango hangs its laurels on a variety of top-notch engines, aggressive exterior cues, and a versatile interior. Outside of the souped-up SRT model, the Durango comes with either a 293 horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 or a 5.7-liter V-8 that provides 360 horsepower and up to 390 pound-feet of torque.

Inside, the Durango comes with an available third-row seat or you can opt for two rows and more cargo volume. Either way, the rear cabin supplies over 80 cubic feet of storage to hold all your stuff. Other interior features include the Uconnect infotainment system, a six-speaker stereo, and comfortable seating for five to seven passengers.

The Dodge lineup proves that quality used cars can be just as good as the ones straight from the factory. Come take one for a test drive today.
