Whether you’re a master linksman or just getting your start on the fairway, the only way to improve your skill is on the course. Fortunately, the Springdale, Arkansas, area has plenty of golf courses tailored to challenge the low handicapper, seasoned veteran, or newcomer to the sport. Lace up your shoes, grab your clubs, and place some friendly wagers. These amazing golf courses have everything you need for some fun in the sun.

1. Brush Creek Golf Course

If you’re pressed for time or don’t have the patience for a full 18 holes, head over to the nine-hole Brush Creek Golf Course. Located in the heart of Springdale, this golf course first opened its greens in 1994 and features 2,926-yards of golfing excitement. The 510-yard seventh hole will test your driving skills, while the 137-yard fourth hole needs a more delicate, iron-based approach. If you end up with a par-36 or under, you might need to take your game to the next level.

2. The Creeks

It’s not everyday that you find a golf course that’s also an RV resort, but that’s the beauty of Arkansas and the Midwest. Nestled among the majestic nature of historic Cave Springs, near the confluence of Spring Creek and Osage Creek, the aptly named The Creeks has scenery that fuels an exciting round of 18 holes.

Throughout the course, you’ll find elevated tee boxes and greens that change your approach to any given hole. At 6,009-yards, it’s a bit shorter than most courses, making it ideal for a short, leisurely round. No hole is particularly burdensome, allowing for an even-keel, no-frills approach to shore up your game.

At the end of your round, head to The Creeks clubhouse, which features a full bar, views of the first and last hole, darts, and a big-screen television to watch your favorite sporting events.

3. Paradise Valley Athletic Club

If public courses aren’t to your liking, head over to the private course at Paradise Valley Athletic Club. Established in 1967 by PGA tour pro Ellis Bogan, this challenging course is championship quality, providing a true test of your chipping, driving, and putting skills. A par-71 course, Paradise Valley rewards the adventurous, but too much confidence can send you into the ponds and creeks that line the fairways and greens. Despite its exclusivity, Paradise Valley tee rates start at just $35 for non-members.

4. Springdale Country Club

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful golf courses in Northwest Arkansas, the course at Springdale Country Club is as breathtaking as it is challenging. Founded in 1927, it’s also one of the oldest courses in the state. Along its 6,673-yards, the golf course here has a rating of 70.6 and a par of 72, making it accessible to new golfers, but just difficult enough to give veterans a few fits.

A clubhouse has beers, food, and televisions for a post-round celebration or to reflect over the day’s events. From unforgiving doglegs to fast greens to wide open fairways, these Springdale area golf courses have just what you need to hone your drives and fine-tune your putting.
