After a long day or week of work, sometimes all you want to do is unwind. Even if you’re a frequent visitor of nightlife in the Springdale, Arkansas, area or have only ventured out a time or two, there are some nearby nightspots that you should check out. Keep reading to learn more about three such places.
1. Teatro Scarpino
Built during the 1920s, Teatro Scarpino was originally part of the old Fayetteville Ice House complex on North West Avenue. In the 1990s the building was bought and remodeled, and in 2005 it was launched at the Teatro. Since it opened its doors, the building has housed a variety of events, and it hosts salsa and bachata dance lessons on most Friday nights. These lessons begin at 9 p.m. followed by open dancing from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Beginners, advanced dancers, and professionals enjoy its 800-square-foot cushioned dance floor. It’s also home to the Latin dance club on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you find yourself famished, check out the recently opened Project 7 Kitchen and Bar located at the back of the building. The restaurant has a small menu of only 14 items that are best shared. Dishes available include roasted chicken, cilantro salmon, and pomegranate meatballs. It operates Wednesday through Saturday from 5 until 10 p.m.
2. The Odd Soul
Located on West Emma Avenue, The Odd Soul serves appetizers along with several different varieties of pizza. Try the Big Don, which includes sausage, black olives, and jalapenos, or dig into the Odd Soul and its prosciutto, pepperoncini, Sriracha flakes, and honey. Open until midnight Thursday through Saturday, the establishment also has a rotating beer tap and craft sodas. These sodas feature classic flavors provided by Jones Soda Company as well as experimental soft drink concoctions.
3. Whiskey 101
Found on West MLK in nearby Fayetteville, Whiskey 101 offers a variety of late-night events to enjoy. Special events include a micro wrestling match with the Micro Wrestling Federation and cornhole tournaments with prizes for those who finish first through third. Stop in Wednesday through Sunday from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.
On Win-It Wednesdays, participate in crazy cash games as well as $2.50 U-Call It drinks all night. Thirsty Thursday evenings feature drink specials, including $1 well drinks, $2 domestic drinks, and $3 premium liquor drinks. Fridays include no cover charge as well as $2.75 for any beer and well drinks until 9 p.m. Saturdays offer free cover charge as well as $1.75 for any beer and well drinks until 9 p.m., while Sundays are Beer Pong Night and $2.50 U-Call It drinks all night.
