1. Teatro Scarpino
Built during the 1920s, Teatro Scarpino was originally part of the old Fayetteville Ice House complex on North West Avenue. In the 1990s the building was bought and remodeled, and in 2005 it was launched at the Teatro. Since it opened its doors, the building has housed a variety of events, and it hosts salsa and bachata dance lessons on most Friday nights. These lessons begin at 9 p.m. followed by open dancing from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Beginners, advanced dancers, and professionals enjoy its 800-square-foot cushioned dance floor. It’s also home to the Latin dance club on Fridays and Saturdays.

Now, this truly is “bliss”! Bliss Cupcake Café opened to rave reviews in 2009. Each day, you’ll find up to a dozen different cupcake flavors at Bliss, all baked from scratch. Local favorites include Blackberry Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Milkshake, and Chocolate Chip Pancake.
