With 18 beers on tap, you can try both classic and unusual options. For the adventurous tasters, try the ‘Lost Bridge' draft made with a smoked grain from Germany that gives the beer notes of meat straight out of the smoker. 4. Bike Rack Brewing Co. This brewery has a great outdoor space where they host live music and food truck events. They also offer $10 growler refills all day long on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The brewery has local cider, hard seltzer, and craft root beer on tap as well as a large selection of beer. Bike Rack is a great place to spend a summer evening while drinking great drafts and enjoying some local bands. 5. Fossil Cove Brewing Company This brewery gets its name from the fossil coves located on the shore of Beaver Lake, the water source for their brewing process. Though it's hard to choose a favorite, we really love the ‘Coffee IPA', brewed with Ethiopian coffee beans and chocolate notes. Their ‘Orange Cream Ale' is also incredibly delicious with notes of vanilla bean, orange zest, and fruity flavors. 6. Columbus House Brewery This brewery hosts various events for the local community and even has its own Columbus House Running Club. They offer up many refreshing drafts in a welcoming environment where everyone feels like friends and family. If you stop by near Christmas time, try their ‘Mount Crumpit', a mint stout boiled with real candy canes for that homey holiday flavor. In addition, there are 39 other rare species that are known to visit this area.  This site is a favorite of universities and other interest groups use the area for research and education. 4.  Woolsey Wet Prairie Sanctuary (Fayetteville, Arkansas) This sanctuary, a short 25-minute jaunt from Springdale, is a case study in habitat restoration. The nearly 47-acre site was constructed in 2006 to offset the destruction of 10 acres of wetlands due to a local wastewater treatment plant. Since that time, birders have documented many species that are otherwise uncommon in the region. 5.  Flint Creek Power Plant (Gentry, Arkansas) This site features 150 acres dedicated solely to wildlife habitat, including ash ponds supporting a thriving waterfowl population. This area is a mixture of forest, marshes, and open fields. At the north end of the plant's 500-acre lake is the Eagle Watch area. The Eagle Watch has an easily accessible trail and pavilion where the public can view the more than 50 bald eagles that forage for food on the lake. You can see the implements they used to gather nuts and berries, and the fishing tools they used to make a living off the rivers. This area was left almost entirely depopulated by disease by the time European settlers arrived here, leaving many questions that remain a mystery today. From Early Settlers to the Civil War As European settlers arrived along the eastern coast and in the Cherokee heartlands, Osage Indian settlers moved into the Ozarks to find new land to work. They established the area's first farmsteads, orchards, and mills, and you'll see tools and other artifacts leftover from this first agricultural society to dwell in our region. In 1828 the Arkansas Territory was officially opened for settlement, driving the Osage further west. Less than half a century later, the Civil War came to Arkansas. Van Scyoc Trailhead Another great spot to access The Razorback Greenway, the Van Scyoc Trailhead is a great place to walk or bike when it's hot out due to the shade that it provides and plenty of nature to take in. There is a parking lot specific to this trailhead so that hikers and bikers have easy access and the ability to get on the trail as soon as possible, and the trail follows a creek for a little while if dipping toes in the water are something that is enjoyed. 4. Lake Fayetteville Park Along this lake, there are plenty of off trails that are great for mountain biking or just hiking to get away from the rigors of town or city life and just be immersed within nature. With its 458 acres of land and 194 acres of water, this is a must-see park that hikers and bikers will want to go to to get away for the day. It includes a disc golf course, Veterans Memorial Park, Boat dock and Marina, Softball Complex, and boat and bike rentals among many other things. 5. Niokaska Creek Trail Corridor Another trail off The Razorback Greenway, this is a beautiful walk or bike ride that will wind nature lovers through the area, though there will be no views of the lake.
